"Noggins are basically musical rocks. Deeply in tune with the Earth, their simple rhythms echo an Island’s pulse. The sensation of reverberation produced by a Noggin motivates all other monsters"

Description[]
Noggin is the single-element Monster of Earth, and is first available when starting the game. It is obtained by purchasing from the Market for 300 coins. By default, its incubation time is 5 seconds long. As a Single Elemental, Noggin does not have a high coin production.
Song[]
Instrument(s): Cajon/Bongos/Timbales/Congas/Doholla/Djembe
Noggin contributes to its Island's song by playing a variety of Latin-based drums (a bass drum on Earth Island), the exact instrument varying from Island to Island. Its hands beat a rhythm on the top of its head, which creates the sound that it plays. On Faerie Island, Noggin also stomps along with its feet, creating a lower sound, though it could just move its feet and make the sound through some other means.
VSTs[]
Virtual Studio Technology is an audio plugin software that has libraries of sound effects and synthesized instruments. Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. NogginStudio utilize several VSTs to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters.

Breeding[]
Being a Single Elemental Natural, Noggin has no specific breeding combination. Instead, it must be purchased in the Market at Level 1 for 300 coins. After a Noggin is owned, another Noggin may be bred as a result of breeding failure while trying to breed a Noggin with another monster that isn't a Natural Single Elemental. Although any other monster may be used, combinations using a Quad Elemental will result in a Noggin 100% of the time. Examples of this include:
(To be added)
The Rare or Epic variant of any breeding monster can be used instead of the Common variant; and much like most Rares, a Noggin can breed with its Rare counterpart, which will always result in another Noggin. However, it works the same as if using a Quad Elemental, therefore never resulting in another Rare or Epic Noggin.

Likes[]
Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Noggin:
- Drumpler (level 9)
- Kayna (level 9)
- Travelers' Sign (level 7)
- Trumplite (level 11)
- Fire Bush (level 5) (Secret Like)
Monsters who likes it[]
The following Monster(s) will increase their happiness by 25% when being placed near Noggin or when Noggin and a Unity Tree are on the Island. These may or may not also be Noggin's likes as well:
- Drumpler
- Rare Noggin
- Rare Kayna

Earning Rate and Maximum Income[]
Earning rate is in Coins per minute and depends on Happiness% (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's Level also increases this limit.

Possible Monster Names.[]
- Two possible names for the Noggin are "Narms" and "Shlapp". Narms is a contraction of "no arms", and Shlapp is a play in words for slap.
- "Shlappa" does however mean "hat" in Russian, so it may be based on that too.
- One of the Noggin's possible names is Cephas, which is the name given to the biblical character Peter, and it's the Greek word for "little rock."
- One of the Noggin's names, Argus, could be a reference to the Ancient Greek Polis, Argos, or the one-hundred eyed giant, Argus Panoptes.
- Similarly, the default name Boreas also references a Greek deity, although Boreas was the god of the North Wind rather than anything earth-related.
- One of the possible names, "Chunk" refers to the fact that this monster is a piece of rock, and chunk means a lump or large portion.
- One of the possible names, "Rockmaninoff" is a reference to Sergei Rachmaninoff, a Russian pianist and composer.
- One of the possible names, "Roark" may be based off the first Gym Leader in the Sinnoh region games, who is a Rock-type user.

Trivia[]
- Noggin’s name is an English word that means head. Noggin has this name because it pats its head.
- Originally, Noggin was called the "BumperStumper" in early designs for the game. By the time the game was released, they changed it to "Noggin".
- Knucklehead was inspired by Noggin's wooden concept art shown in the gallery above.
- Noggin has the highest rate of income per bed of the pure-breed Natural Monsters.
- Noggin is the only single-element Natural Monster that does not sing. This is similar to how Grumpyre is the only single-element Ethereal Monster to sing.
- Coincidentally, Stogg is the only instrumental Fire Double.
- Noggin has the same beat/song on Plant Island and Air Island.
- Noggin takes the shortest amount of time to hatch or breed, only taking 5 seconds.
- It only takes 3 seconds if using an Enhanced Breeding Structure or Enhanced Nursery.
- Noggin's name in Russian is "Барабамень" (pronounces as "Barabamen'"). This word is a portmanteau of "барабан" (pronounces as "Baraban", English: drum) and "камень" (pronounces as "Kamen'", English: rock/stone).
- It also makes a reference to Noggin's design, which looks like a Drumstone.
- Noggin's breeding time on Natural Islands was reduced from 15 seconds to 5 seconds, starting from around the time of SummerSong 2019. This was done to improve the Tutorial experience. Noggin’s breeding time was then changed on every other island, specifically Fire Haven, to 5 seconds in Version 2.3.4.
- On Faerie Island, Noggin may be using its feet to make sounds as a part of its song, but this is only the second time that this has happened (the first being in Dawn of Fire on Continent). It might be using its jaw, and tapping its feet to match the jaw sounds, though, as its jaw moves every time its feet do.
- Also, Noggin has a second track on Faerie Island, which plays exactly the same rhythm as Drumpler on the same island. However, while Track 2 is in the Recording Studio, it mistakenly uses Track 1's sound and animation instead, due to Track 1 replacing Track 2's info.
- All three Noggin variants like Kayna.
- Noggin and Carillong have the same three Decorations as Likes: the Travelers' Sign, the Trumplite, and the Fire Bush.
